The Power of Prayer  The apostle James in his epistle to the church said, 'the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.' Prayer is the most powerful resource that human beings have. By prayer we can bring our petitions and needs before God who has already promised us that even before we speak He has already inclined His ear toward us. In fact the Bible tells us that the eyes of God are searching about the whole earth to find someone in whom He can show Himself faithful. When we pray we communicate to God and He communicates back to us. We share our dilemmas and He shares the answers. When we ask according to His will we can have the assurance that He hears and that He will reveal His will, that when we are weak He will empower us, that when insurmountable obstacles challenge us He will move mountains on our behalf, He will heal us or those we love, He will change hearts and lives, and bring His will to pass. He has promised that if we shall ask anything in His name, it shall be done. Therefore we pray, not for the religious exercise of it but because it is in prayer that miracles are birthed.
